    Review & Sales Department’s Business Marketing Team is responsible for the inside sales, customer support, and customer success of LINE’s corporate services. Team Manager Takayuki Momota appeared as a panelist in a session at “Let’s talk about Fukuoka! WORK IN FUKUOKA,” an online event hosted by SMARTCAMP to create and vitalize employment opportunities in Fukuoka.

    The panelists discussed the job histories of employees working at company branches in Fukuoka, the rate of people coming from outside of or returning to Fukuoka to work, organizational development, and what they want to achieve in Fukuoka going forward.
     

    Mr. Momota said, “54% of LINE Fukuoka employees either came from outside of or returned to Fukuoka. There are people who moved from Hokkaido even though they had no connection to Fukuoka whatsoever. Many have never experienced sales, and they also have diverse career backgrounds. The general image associated with regional locations is that they’re passive and part of Tokyo-based organizations that operate across Japan; we want to flip this image on its head and cause a stir by creating services and solutions ‘From Fukuoka, to the World’ voluntarily, actively, and independently.” 

     

    The other panelists shared the same strong desire to vitalize branches of organizations in Fukuoka, suggesting partnerships with each other to capitalize on their geographical proximity. The event gave a glimpse into the exciting future of Fukuoka-based corporate locations.
